Too Cool To Be Christian?

Being a Christian should be decidedly uncool; it's not cool to go without a lot of money, it's not cool to value compassion over power, and it's not cool to hold back snarky gossip, but those are all the things that Christ taught us to do. If we spend too much time trying to become cool, than the kingdom of God becomes indistinguishable from the kingdom of earth. As Shane Claiborne says, God wants us to be hot or cold, but not cool. =) (Revelation 3:15-16)
